Project & Event Management

We like working on projects that support our local community goals and are constantly learning about our environment.  Many of the projects we work on are voluntary for social enterprise or community events.

Contact us by email for details on our project or event management services. Recent projects include:

Dark Sky Project Management

Research, feasibility study and project management of a successful application to the International Dark-Sky Association for Mayo International Dark Sky Park (Gold Tier Award).  Designers of Dark Sky Ambassador course for local tourism partners. Content writing and resource provision for Mayo Dark Sky Park website. Development of Dark Sky awareness in Mayo and creation of national network of dark sky destination strategy Ireland in collaboration with Failte Ireland, focusing on responsible and sustainable tourism.

Duathlon/Triathlon Events

Event management for a new duathlon - Wild2Wild in the Wild Nephin Wilderness, raising funds for a community centre building project.  We have also organised various Athletics Road Races (10ks) and Triathlons and Aquathlons, all events sanctioned by relevant National Governing Body.

Environmental Projects

Delivering customised Leave No Trace training sessions for environmentally friendly projects such as Inishbofin (Ireland’s first ecotourism island) and the Green Campus at GMIT Mayo.

We are currently involved in project management and research for a locally led agri-environmental scheme in the Nephin region.

Walking for Wellbeing

A six-week walking programme designed to measure how walking in different natural environments impacts physical and mental wellbeing.  This programme was piloted at GMIT to compare the effect of walking in natural locations such as forestry or beaches to walking in urban areas.

Conference/Festival Event Management

Long track record of co-organising one of the largest Magic Conventions in the UK attracting delegates from all over the world.  Featuring venues such as The London Palladium, Her Majesty's Theatre and the Mermaid Conference Centre.  In 2012 the convention was extended to include the first ever London Festival of Magic, a full week of performances, workshops and lectures at the Bridewell Theatre.
