Leave No Trace Awareness
This one-day course is designed for individuals who are interested in learning more about Leave No Trace Ireland ethics and for those who will be delivering Leave No Trace Ireland Awareness workshops in the future or progressing to the Leave No Trace Trainer Course. Through very short classroom discussions, outdoor lectures and outdoor activities, this course will cover the seven Leave No Trace Ireland principles and discuss outdoor ethics in Ireland. It will give the participants tools and techniques for disseminating low-impact skills to others.
Customised Leave No Trace Awareness courses can be arranged for community groups such as Tidy Towns, event organisers, schools, clubs and businesses.
Leave No Trace is an outdoor ethics programme designed to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships.
Course includes training materials - Trainer Handbook and Certificate
A pre-requisite for the course is to have attended a Certified Awareness Course in Leave No Trace (€40 value).
Attendees will be asked to facilitate and deliver an activity to higlight a principle of leave no trace.
Own tent and equipment will be required. Occasionally an overnight in accommodation required if weather conditions unsuitable for camping. Accommodation costs at attendees own expense.
