Clew Bay is full of hidden treasures and not all are historical!  We are delighted to launch a new series of "Literary Lunches" featuring local wordsmith and unique luncheon venues.  


Highlights include: 

Home cooked/grown food with the freshest ingredients

Scenic drive and sightseeing tour en route

Literary local gems of the Wild Atlantic Way (poetry/story/prose)


Each Literary Lunch in our series will feature a different location and showcase a different writer and recital.

We are delighted that our first literary lunch will take place at the gorgeous Hare Cottage, hosted by John and Angela Davitt. John and Angela will welcome us to their home and place of work for lunch with poetry and song! About John and Angela: Angela farmer, ecologist & singer John poet, grower carpenter John lives in Glenhest, Newport, Mayo Ireland - returning in 2012 to the land his father left in 1930. He is currently working to repeasant himself whilst giving a strong nod to the digital age. Some of his poems to lead us on to song which has been his intention and inspiration as poet. Readings + words + music by arrangement.


Transport, tour and lunch including included We will pick up guests from Westport 11am / drop off (approx 3.30pm). Collections available from Newport, Westport or nearby location.
